Mt. Charleston
| Thirty minutes outside the neon jungle of Las Vegas you can find alpine country where ancient bristlecone pines populate snowcapped mountains and ponderosa pines scent the air. Enjoy the numerous hikes or simply relax and enjoy this unexpected oasis of nature. |

| Valley of Fire & Lake Mead |
| The perfect tour for an afternoon and evening in the stunning Nevada desert. Enter the Valley of fire from the west and depart towards Lake Mead. We return to Las Vegas via the remote North Shore Drive with its panoramic vistas and silent isolation. |

Hoover Dam & Eldorado Canyon
| Hoover dam you might know. It's a hunk of concrete wedged into black canyon and it tames a little creek called the Colorado. Eldorado canyon you may not know. It's an old gold mining area on the edge of Lake Mojave whose residents claim to have seen UFOs. |

| Zion Canyon, Utah |
| Unlike any other place on earth, Zion is a hiker's utopia with scenic vistas galore and hidden wonders everywhere. Come and spend the day with us as we explore this sandstone paradise. |

Death Valley, California
| Tortured landscapes, salt flats, ghosts and that name! The people who settled this area were some of the toughest, most reclusive in the land. Come see what drew them to this place of immense solitude and peace. |
| Toroweap Point, Grand Canyon |
| 3,000 feet straight down to the Colorado. At the end of 60 miles of dirt road, there are no guard rails, very few people and lots of rugged, open space. At Toroweap you don't walk up to the edge, you crawl. |

New Web Site
Those of you who have visited us before may notice that our web site has changed. Most of you who know us come to us for private guides and custom tours to areas all around France. This is why we place more focus on the country, the private guide service and a little less on us. Hopefully you'll be inspired to new discoveries.
This new site centers entirely on the home page. All other pages appear in their own windows. Some people will like the new format, some won't. Let us know what you think and in the future we'll take your ideas into consideration.

More countries on the way
Our network of private guide services, custom itinerary building and professional business services is expanding in new directions. Recently you may have noticed that we have expanded into the USA, namely the Southwest region around Las Vegas (www.aguideinamerica.com). Soon to follow, we will offer our same high quality private guide services, custom itinerary building services and business services in other regions of the USA including the Northwest and California. Also, we are looking to expand into China, Australia and other interesting parts of the world where our discerning clients will find that a private guide is the best means to discover all there is to see and experience safely.
Other web sites allow any and all people who call themselves private guides to list their services. it is then up to you to take your chances and pick one. With "A Guide in..." you will find only the best. most competent, safest and friendliest private guides available. Some are not state certified tour guides, some are. We place more emphasis on personality, safety and competence and less on educational pedigree.
